Who can resist beautiful West Cork?

Fastnet Maritime and Folk Festival takes place in the picturesque village of Ballydehob, in the heart of West Cork. The weekend will be packed with sea songs and shanties, a craft markets and even a sea song writing competition.




The picturesque village of Ballydehob lies at the waters edge. The name comes from Béal an Dá Chab, meaning “mouth of the two river fords. Just off the coastline is the festival’s namesake the mesmerizing Fastnet Lighthouse.

Music is at the heart and soul of the festival with live music in the pubs and on the main stage at the pier. There will be sea songs, shanties, dancing, local crafts, workshops, busking, art exhibitions and so much more throughout the weekend.
